Campus Bible Fellowship

Welcome to Campus Bible Fellowship!

CBF is a group of young people and students at the University of Iowa, in association with Faith Baptist Church of Iowa City, who are dedicated to seeking God. We believe that there is a lot to be learned about God, His plan for us, and how we can have a right relationship with Him through our savior, Jesus Christ. Perhaps you believe this as well, or perhaps you don't know...but something is telling you there must be more to life than "football and a 401(k)." Either way, CBF is the place for you.

According to a recent poll by The Washington Post, approximately 92% of Americans believe in God or some form of higher power. That is astonishing isn't it? So what exactly does that mean? Can we know anything about God? Can we know anything about why we exist? Come share your thoughts as we explore questions like these!

Are you looking for a church to attend or visit? Please come join us at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa City. If you do not have a car, there are members of the church who are willing to give you a ride. Please contact Jake, Elva, or Ann so they can help connect you with someone.

Engage (CBF's weekly meeting)

Engage (as we like to call it) is an event that allows you to come meet fellow students and young people that are just like you, and to discuss a number of biblical topics. It's a very laid-back, non-threatening atmosphere where we enjoy all kinds of food and snacks, games, and open discussion. Come "engage" in conversation and questions...or just hang out and relax. All are welcome!

We are currently doing a study called The Truth Project. The Truth Project is produced by Focus on the Family and is intended to push Christians into a more concrete understanding of who God is and how truth applies to our everyday lives. It has really helped many of us to "connect some of the dots" in our view of the world. If you join us, you are guaranteed to be challenged in your thinking as well.

English Classes

Is English your second or even third language? Would you like to improve your English at no cost? We offer a large group English class on Tuesdays at 1:00pm in the Purdue Room of the Iowa Memorial Union (3rd Floor). We are also willing to work with you individually or in small groups and will try to work with your schedules. Large group activities or parties will be planned (usually once a month) to give you more opportunities to practice English with Americans.

Individual Bible Studies

We also have individual Bible studies available for those who enjoy a more one-on-one atmosphere. Please contact Elva, Ann, or Jake to set up a time that works for you!
