Our Mission

 

Our Mission at Faith Baptist Church is "to glorify God by making disciples." The Lord Jesus Christ gave us His Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, and we take it seriously!

 

Every ministry at Faith is centered on our mission. We believe and share the Good News that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe. We realize the necessity of spiritual growth in the believer’s life through the Word of God by the Holy Spirit. We seek the opportunity to serve others. We are disciples of Jesus Christ and our desire is to "make other disciples."

 

There are a host of ministries at Faith Baptist Church that give believers opportunity to fulfill our mission. Sunday school, children’s ministries, teen ministries, men and women’s ministries, Campus Bible Fellowship and an intentional discipleship ministry are just some of the ways that we accomplish our mission.

 

We at Faith Baptist Church also recognize our duty to spread the Gospel outside of Iowa City. We support evangelism and discipleship ministries through church planting in our own area and around the world. We currently partner with missionaries in the United States, Japan, Brazil, Jamaica, and Asia.
